Rajapattai - Tamil movie Review

So I planned to watch this one because of one reason that Vikram is doing a mass masala role after a pretty long time and I booked my tickets..........So lets go for the review

Rajapattai - A total disaster

I dont know where and how to start the review of the movie......Starting from titling, this is one of the worst titling and BG I have seen this year....Even then I waited for Vikram and then the he pitched in with a wonderful intro....I liked the dialogues at that time and I hoped something good is waiting for me and the initial part of screenplay delivered something ( like the dialogues " Entha situationilee song ilaaaa)....but then the movie went haywire......Even Vikram seems too be torchering  sometimes with his weird looks......I dont know what happened to Sucheendran the director who delivered some good movies in the past....Director is actually helpless here because screenplay has nothing in it......Deeksha Seth the heroine was beautiful but she has nothing much to do....Songs failed like anything not even a single good song ......and remember for a tamil movie songs are so integral in deciding the fate of the movie....Vikram is not going to get anything from this movie.....I dont think even any actor is going to get something from the movie.....The most expected item song featuring Shreya and Rema Sen comes at the end of the movie....People at time not even bothered to watch it out...they are running out of the theater.....I felt many people including me sat over there because we paid some 150 per ticket.....Nothing more about this movie

My rating is 2/10..........Watch it if you want to feel irritated

Don 2 - Hindi movie Review

So this time it was pretty planned.....incase planned very well to watch the very first show of Don 2 at Chennai. So I booked the tickets on AGS multiplex,Chennai for 12 15 pm show which was the first show in Chennai....My decision was purely based on one factor ...Farhan Akhtar......I calculate him on the genre of different species which can deliver something extra ordinary

Don 2 - Don still rules as the king of Bollywood

I took my seats 15 minutes before the show and was eagerly waiting for the first shot in silver screen. And then it started with a long and wide shot of a river and there I have seen the quality movie waiting for me.Then DON enters into the scene....aree wahaaa...What a look SRK..... ultimately superb then intro of DON and to make sure he is most invincible .....a Thai styled stunt sequence I can say the same has been copied from a Korean movie ' Me and My brother' but if you say so then you can point a hell lot of Korean and Thai movies. But the editing and sequences are done with most perfection. A Farhan touch can be seen all over the movie....One thing I felt is like whether SRK is over Don-ed on the move.....Every dialogue will indicate that he is the supreme powerful. But it is well covered with a master villain and his associates so that you wont feel SRK is only master in this movie....Farhan has well crafted the characters so that the villain will stand top on a level  in par with hero and that makes entire Don-2 a nice treat

This time rather than showing the Don powers, SRK sketches out a plan and makes others to play their parts on it.And this gives a feeling that we are watching an international movie  like Italian Job or something on that sort and when the same thing accompanies by a wonderful direction from Farhan makes the entire movie on par with DON -1 and stunt sequences also requires a mention here...and international touch can be felt here also....( I m waiting for Players....the trailer showcase some wonderful sequences)......Then about the other characters, everyone played their part very well.....I can say that Boman Irany was underused they should have leveraged something more from him and same with Ompuri....but the plot of the movie justifies that.....Priyanka has more screenspace than the first part....Kunal Kohli has nothing much to do and same with Lara Dutta

The NEGATIVES I felt about this movie is that the loving sequence towards the climax should have been trimmed off. The other thing is the movie may sound little confusing at the end ....( you can feel when u watch it) and this depends on viewers. and finally Music..the old theme is still sounding in all songs..May be songs are not so important...No more negatives as per my view

The POSITIVES are  yeah.....Farhan and SRK and the ultimate style they gives in every part of the movie.........Ultimately brilliant....SRK maintained the same charm of the first DON.Wonderful camera work and editing which doesnt plays a spoil even at any point of the movie....Best action movie of the year....A sequel I felt which maintained the standards or above the standards of first part...The nice screenplay which makes SRK or the DON much more attractive and stylish.......and finally a nice Guest appearance from another top star........:P

Yeah this movie is filled with a hell lot of positives which make you walk to the theater and watch it ....A fantastic movie of the year....Thumps up to SRK and Farhan.....Expecting for Don 3 as you shows on climax...... :).......

.My rating is 8/10...........Watch it for the best hindi action movie and also for the wonderful reincarnation of SRK as DON......

Poraali-Tamil Movie Review

Not much introduction about this one, this one was an expected for me because of the Sasikumar-Samuthirakani combination. An unwanted wait  came up for watching this movie because I was so busy win the release weekend. But later I manager to watch it out. Anyway lets go for the review

Poraali - Poraali wins the fight

I didnt have any expectations for the movie because I didnt know what I m going to get from the silver screen this is again because Nadodigal and Subramaniyapuram done the same things...delivering the unexpected for the audience. Same thing has been done in Poraali also. Sasikumar and the new guy (dont know his name) enters into the scene in a normal passion without not much heroism. They are coming to Chennai for making their life better and the movie goes on....There is a lot of suspense awaits for the viewers and as usual I wont say much about the story line. Coming back to the movie, the storyline points to two things mainly about one thing, life is a fight-fight it and win it and then friendship(Sasikumar and SK seems to love this ) .This theme is wonderfully pictured and amazingly delivered. Even then I would say first half feels to be a little dragging some where and can be trimmed. But second half was super fast will make you sit and watch. The new guy deserves special mention.Nicely acted ....it doesnt seemed to be his first movie. But his dubbing seems to be out of track . I dont know whether he himself dubbed for him or somebody else dubbed for him anyway it was entirely out of track for his perfect acting. In Nadodigal everyone will be remembering that guy who will get a hit on his ear. His performance was amazing and got perfect with a nice dubbing and here in Poraali a wonderful acting took a backseat with a bad dubbing anyway kudos to the guy. Sasikumar's acting also was wonderful as usual. His eyes delivers perfectly this time also. I have seen this in the same in Subramaniyapuram and Nadodigal

Movie doesnt have anything which can termed as technically brilliant . The story line also doesnt seems to need any of that too. Even then we can see some good camera shots in the movie.Coming to another part Songs, we cant have a 'Kangal Irandal' or ' Sambho Siva Shambo' , the music  of the movie is not scoring at all even you can find a tune similar to Sambho but didnt deliver to that level but its well merged with storyline.Dialogues are as always brilliant and conveys a message most of the times. We would feel a spark inside...a spark to win life .....Shruthi or anyother heroine has nothing to do in much rather than some pitty sentimence. The movie's highlight is a nice storyline supported by a that much nice screenplay  and again the whole stuff supported by a well delivered acting from Sasikumar and his friend . These all will keep you glued for the entire movie and also a wonderful climax :)

My rating is 7/10 ....Watch it for an Ignition inside :)

Mission Impossible 4 - Ghost Protocol ---- English Movie Review

So its again time for an english movie. Actually I was about to put Machine Gun Preacher review but unfortunately the movie was playing only at Sathyam in Chennai and that too at 10 pm show which is almost impractical for me so I just waited for  Ghost protocol , MI-4 my favourite series especially after MI-2.So I decided to watch the movie along with my team but again unfortunately I missed it because I didnt got the bus in time. So I didnt left any time, came back at home and booked the ticket at AGS Cinemas, Chennai for Sunday. This time no troubles and reached theatre perfectly on time and had my seats . Here goes my review....

Mission Impossible 4-Ghost protocol ----Mission successfully(superbly) accomplished

Agent Ethan Hunt is back . This time the secret team and the Americans are accused of  bombing Kremlin in Russia and Ethan is about the find out the guilty ones and save the nation and also to save a nuclear war.The movie doesnt make you bore for a second only because of one thing, thunderbolt action all over. For a long time audience are missing the master gadgets and supercars since Brosnan left the James Bond. But MI 4 provides that in plenty. Every sense of future technology is brilliantly used in the movie. And the action sequences are also extremely brilliant. The one above the top of Burj building in dubai deserves special mention and also the highlight of the movie. After James Bond and Bourne ,now Ethan is also made his visit to India. The second half of the movie happens mostly in India specifically in Mumbai. And happy to see Mumbai is well pictured having multilevel high sophisticated car parking(even though we can see the cars used in the parking stunt sequence are of foreign reg and that simply means the sequence is shooted in foreign country :P). Anyway it is pictured more better way than the Slumdog Millionaire and we can see super cars allover. Here I would like to mention Anil Kapoor's role. It is touted that he is doing something big in the movie but I was too disappointed in his role as he has no screen space rather than a 10 minute time. When I can expect an Indian hero in a fulltime role.Hope I can see SRK with Learnado Decaprio in the Martion Sarcossi in the gossip movie created by the media.

The movie lacks a villianism which was a highlight in the MI-2,John Woo always make villains more perfect or equal perfect to the heros(remember Broken Arrow ,Face Off and Redcliff). In MI-4 villain cannot be termed as super villain but Ethan was superbly superb and that will make you sit and watch the movie for the entire 2.30 hours.Tom Cruise is extremely amazing. When I first heard about MI-4, I thought that Tom Cruise is making his last attempt to stand as none of movies are making a mark. But after watching this one I would Tom is charming and beautiful as before and also brilliantly done all action sequences including the Burj sequence ,Parking stunt sequence and the sand storm one.Thumps up for him . The co-characters had also done a brilliant job and also some comedy sequences from Pegg makes the movie more beautiful.

Movie is one of the most technical one I have seen in recent times.Infact I was missing this type movie for a long time since a James Bond movie. This made me so happy I would say extremely happy to saw technology rightly mixed with a super screenplay. So watch it ,watch it and watch it for a brillaint goosebumping action movie with your favourite Ethan in his best form

My rating is 8.5/10.........A must watch ....Miss if you like to have the risk of missing one among the wonderful action movie of the decade

The Dirty Picture- Hindi Movie Review

So its about the Dirty Picture, I m expecting this movie since I heard the gossips regarding the same.My expectation is mainly because of only one reason...Vidya balan+N Shah......Ishqiya was the one I just loved....I love and admire Vidya among all the new generation superstars as she wont just go and do a pinky ponky role but it would be meaty it would stand as the hero all along the movie....Anyway we can go to the review

The Dirty Picture - The Best Picture

Movie starts of with the poor lady roaming around for small chances in movies to feed herself. But still the silver screen is her dream and she didn't got a change to be there....One day she did an item dance in a movie by chance and leave it on hoping that it would be her first silver screen appearance and happily goes with her mentor to the theater to watch her but unfortunately that didnt happened as the director removed the song as he is finding that doesnt suit his movie....but the producer feels sad as his cash registers are empty and to get his money back,he is including the song our heroine does and there starts the real story of Silk.....Yaaa off course the dirty picture starts its track rolling from there......Wonderfully Wonderful .....

The movie has Vidya ,Vidya and Vidya .........Sometimes even N Shah are overshadowed by Vidya's acting....I think words are not enough to explain her acting....A Silk was re produced on the screen....Not even a single time my eyes went to her cleavage or tummy always get stucked up on the wonderful emotions Vidya's face was delivering every moment...Every character was justified by the actors....I felt Imran Hashmi was little replicated by his emotions he has delivered in the old movies but still he was good and well fitted to the role.....The movie superbly showcases the emerging of a local lady to the sultry siren of the Indian Cinemas and then just becoming  getting down to a level of a B grade actress and then committing suicide. Not even a single scene will make you bored. Vidya has wonderful fitted into the character...The weight she has put on definitely added an advantage for her in making this one perfectly perfect ...The oolaa ollaa tune will keep you going all over the 2 30 hours....

There is one dialogue in the movie.....'Silk...These times we have lot of heroines but you are the real superstar of heroines' yeah I felt the same saying to Vidya....' aaaj times mein heroines bahuth hothi hein leiken tu heroines ka superstar hee'......The editing of the movie deserves a special mention as the color tune matches well with the scenes and the moof of the scene this happens very rarely in movies especially in Indian movies... most of the times the color tunes and moods wont getting synched up always...The movie also doesnt show cases the downing of Silk but also another upcoming Shakeela.....Music department also scores well with Ollaaa olaaa tuning you up all over the movie...The retro looks are also maintained perfectly

My Rating is 8/10----Watch it out otherwise you will miss a wonderful acting performance.....Your money is double worth

Osthe - Tamil Movie Review

A weekend came up and I have a set of movies to be watched in the theaters which includes Dirty Picture,Osthe,Porali,Mayakkam Enna and Machine Gun Preacher....I need to select any two of them as the timings then only will come in my way...So I selected Dirty Picture and Osthe because of two reasons...One is Osthe is the most expected tamil release of the recent times and Dirty Picture will be leaving theatres this week and also I want to catch my favorite heroic heroine in action.Anyway this time I have two write ups..Let me start on with Osthe

Osthe - Overly massed up

The movie is the most expected among the recent releases in tamil cinema and that is because of two reasons...One is the that this is the remake of the super megha hit Dabangg and other one is the super hit songs along with Simbu's lone hero movie after Vinaithandi Varuvaya. From my personal perspective I didnt liked Dabang too much as a movie but I liked the wonderful way Salman carried a bleak story for 2 hours with his star show and power.....and may be thats why we call Salman,SRK all stars and Kamal,Mammotty,Mohanlal all actors....Anyway thats debatable.....So when I entered into the theater for Osthe certain things just filled in my mind.....First thing is how the songs will be pictured as all of them were chartbusters especially 'Kalasala' which is the remake of Munni and 'Cute Pondatti' which can be called as a Simbu trademark....secondly how Simbhu's sixpack :P...........Anyway I have some expectations before watching the movie which are I think are the normal expectations of any movie lover going for a masala movie

The movie starts off with a pretty debatable topic.....he he ..watch it out.. I m not expressing it out here....Anyway its about a core cash that has to carried from one place to another for Boxer Daniel(Sonu) elections purposed and while the cash is on the way...our hero enters....Osthe -The Mass......with a stunt scene which replicated the one which happened in Singham(hindi version) but I would say this one failed miserably as the hindi stunt scene scored like anything.....then movie starts of there with a intro stunt and so on....Simbhu tried to give life into character by changing the way he walks and also using the local slang but boss still Salman is way front of you....You were not able to reach anywhere near him....that has been resembled in many scenes including the romantic ones.....Richa(heroine) was okay compared to Sonakshi in Dabang still I felt more life was with Sonakshi in the character....Eventhough almost all scenes are copied exactly from Hindi somewhere something is missing.....Its not just because I have watched the orginal before but because the film is overly massed up.....In the punch dialogue section also Simbhu fails badly...'Naan Kannadi Mathiri' didnt evoked a goosebumps in me like Vijay's punchlines.....Even the climax scene also got over massed such that you cant find a single logic in any of the stunt scenes....In every stunt scene you will think' hey how he is here?'....

The positives of the movie is definitely the comedy track from Santhanam....the brilliant one lines always kept us live amid of the total rampage of the movie . Comedy of this movie always needs a mentioning as I found this department scores much above the original one . In the original one laughing was barely happening...Secondly the movie scores well above Dabangg in terms of music also...while the original has just Munni to boast off...Osthe has almost all songs becoming super mass hits and also I personally felt Mallika's Kalasala was above  Arrora's Munni.....Even then these two things wont be enough to place Osthe above or equal to Dabangg ....It is way below Dabangg only

People would say I had compared Osthe mainly with Dabangg  rather than making an independent review.....Yes I do compared with Dabangg ....but still my review points to the goods n bads of Osthe also...

My rating is 4/10.......Watch it for Songs and Santhanam

Adventures of Tin Tin- The Secret of the Unicorn

So when I heard a Steven Sberg  movie is coming on the cinemas, I just made my mind that I should watch this one. I have to make such a decision because I m not into animation movies much. I think the only ones I have seen were Kungfu Panda(that too accidentally when it was telecasted in HBO) and some others like Ice Age etc.But my brother is a great fan of these kind of movies as his childhood mostly happened in Scooby Doos and Swat Cats.....Anyway  I just decided to go for tin tin......the only reason was SS and also my brother told me that the movie used motion picture technology or something similar to that....It is like they will shoot the movie with human characters and then make into a animated one....

Adventures of Tin Tin- The Secret of the Unicorn----------Tin Tin will make you adventurous

The movie starts silently but it delivers a feel a classiness in its title line delivery. It gives a feeling that a good movie is going to come in the next 2 hours. Then the movie pitches directly into our hero- Tin Tin, a journalist who always reveals great mysteries.Movie goes there in a nice pace which is not too fast or slow but will keep you engaged by thinking and looking for things along with tin tin. That is where SS showed his skill in direction, when a director makes the audience travel along with his characters then that means he successfully conveyed the characters into the audience. The same happened here in the case of tin tin also. I didnt ready any tin tin cartoons before I m even hearing this name when the movie trailers are released but I have saw this character  somewhere in the newspapers corners but didnt paid time for it.Ok lets come back to our movie

The movie about the adventurous journey tin tin makes along with Haddick, to find the lost ship called Unicorn. Mentioning about the character ' Haddick' truly amazing comic sense.I was laughing all the time when I saw him because the gestures were in such a way. The director also made the character truly involved in the movie by giving enough of content for 'Haddick' in the story line. Perhaps I would say even Tin Tin moves depends on Haddick....The comedy were also superb and which makes you laugh like anything. SS synched the past fight between the pirate and the captain and with new generation crane...Absolutely brilliant I salute that idea to the screenplay writer and also a great salute for SS for implementing it perfectly on screen.

As in the case of all my reviews, here also I wont reveal the story line of the movie but the only parts which makes you watch or which makes you run out of the  theater. In case of tin tin no scenes will make you boring every scene is nicely taken and will make you feel that a new animated movie is just flowing in a right pace. The movie , as usual ends with a note for the second part..

Technically speaking about the movie, I dont find any complaints anywhere ......( Hey reviewer its a Spielberg movie yaarrrr :P)...Still the 3D is difficult for me...I little alergic to the 3D glasses....and also the concept of 3D is also changed these days...its not about something flying and coming to the audience its much more about viewing the characters in a 3D angle...anyway tin tin serves that purpose too...Made with great attention and a nice screenplay...Tin Tin delivers everything you expect from a animated adventuresome movie....

.My rating is 8/10......Overall tin tin is a nice movie especially for children .....go in and laugh out.....travel with tin tin....go into the unicorn..... :).....Your penny is worth

Indian Rupee- Malayalam Movie review

Sometimes it happens....You will wait for a directors movie than a superstar's movie. For me its like I m waiting for Torantino's movie....John Woo's movie and so on.....the same way down  in malayalam after his very first movie 'Nandanam' I will always wait for the ace director ' Ranjith's movie'...After Pranchiyettan I was eagerly looking for 'Indian Rupee' for two reasons....Firstly as I said above....a Ranjith movie and secondly Thilakan coming back on Ranjith's script.....Anyway I was not able to watch the movie on its release days as I got my hands tied up on with work....When I came back here to my dreamland,Trivandrum I decided to watch it....Here follows my review of the movie

Indian Rupee--Movie with a million rupee thought

The movie starts with someone coming up and enquiring about Jayaprakash aka JP- the hero of our movie.....Then comes the casual introduction of hero..how many times we have seen this casual introduction makes marking movies while the movies which hero was introduced with whole lot of bg and other stuffs fails miserably in the boxoffice.....It simply proves Malayali still loves the hero which is among them.....Then the movie goes in a nice flow....The real estate brokers and the big shots....Ranjith here showed one thing very cleverly ....the value of money and how it differs between people.....When  a buyer says that he is buying the property for 10Cr and will pay the advance of 50lakhs,on the other side the character of JP is still finding it difficult to pay a price of tea.....how money differs between people.....Then from somewhere the character of Thilakan comes into picture and then screenplay becomes more interesting because it is made in such a way that the audience will think about Thilakan all the time......great work Renjith.....kudos to you....Then the movie goes to  the big play JP makes along with CH(Tinu Tom) and Achuthamenon(Thilkan).....Here one thing we need to notice is that....the dialogue of Thilakan is absolutely super so that the character makes its presence long felt in the movie......

I would say our superstar Mohanlal has to watch this movie and find out what is missed in his latest flicks.......Sir its Thilakan.....When you make a mind blowing performance on one side of the screen as the central hero.....just think about two things.....your performance will get noted only if the co stars will support you at your level of acting.....secondly all of your master performances on the silver screen has Thilkan on the other side.....think about Kireedom,Kilukam,Sphadikam...........Thilkan was an inevitable part in all these movies.........Try to bring him back in your movies........you will comeback to the golden times...

Anyway coming back on the movie again.......Here Prthviraj's character supported well by Thilkan's and Tinu Tom's character...When  a hero's character is supported well by the co actors then there comes a  super hit........its the world policy of cinema.....Anyway then comes the character of Jagathi Sreekumar.....Ohh man how many times I have seen you in this attire and still you are delivering new expressions and emoticons every time........absolutely master actor.....truly genius........Then the movie takes in a good pace and ends with a good note........life is not all about money....its not all about earning....its all about living.....very good movie from Renjith.........I wont say its a must watch......But if you want to feel that you watched a nice movie when you are leaving the theatre , you can watch this one.....

Mentioning about the central hero ,Prthviraj.....hey boss......you make sure that you are the young superstar.....nice screen presence and you just controlled into the character.......but try to explore yourself...you can get a lot of acting from you...People might say Ashif is the next superhero.......but I dont know....the very last scene when Ashif comes on this movie,I understood he has a long way to go to become a Prthviraj..All the best to him too....I dont care how Prthvi talks or how he walks......I just care how he comes in the screen .....how he is acting... and there he is excellent.....Keep it up and work on yourself as I said great things are waiting for you

For Thilkan.......Welcome back Mr Master.....We missed you....

For Tinu Tom.....You have become an actor man.......great keep going

Ranjith......All praises for you.........Expecting your next

My rating for the movie  is 8/10........Watch it out for a good movie.....a good feel good movie

7am Arivu-Tamil movie review

So this time my review is for the most sought after tamil movie in the year of 2011.It always happens when a proven director comes along with a master actor. This movie has the power packed Surya comes along with the one of the cream director of my time-Murugadoss. In the audio release function, Murugadoss told "Every tamilian will feel proud after watching this movie"...But the other side songs are not at all appealing when I heard even then I thought visuals can make songs beautiful as that happened in recent movies for a lot times. So I went to watch 7am arivu in a nearby theatre. So the review follows

7am Arivu - Nothing which can make your senses feel good

So the movie starts as the story of 20th century pallava king Bhodidharma,I would this part of the movie is the only thing which is worth of your money in this movie. Amazing takings and visuals. Surya acting is master,he simply shoes how the eyes and the body sync will work and makes a wonderful actor. The first tenty minutes will make you feel like you are watching a hollywood movie, I can cal Troy or Redclif or whatever it is...amazing. The story takes from there and drops in a chinese conference. The master villain enters into the movie-Dong Lee...Super looks...Perfect character for villain. Then they are taking about some operation red and a research going to happen in India. Then the villain shows the supremacy there itself by killing a guard through the so called Nokkumarmam . The plot reverses back to 93 days where the first song starts....I would say terrible...Song  is  good at all and it simply showed the movie is going to slip out from the directors hand. After some time the heroine enters into the silver screen,Shruthi Hassan....Ohh my dear...why she is there...pathectic acting plus poor dubbing that makes watching her a real pain for our eyes and ears. Upto the interval movie has nothing to do but the love scenes of Aravind and Subah( Surya and Shruthi) and in the climax villain comes again and makes his presence felt. He calls someone Operation Red has became a success and then walks on after killing a set of policeman.....At that time itself I felt the resemblence of Terminator but still you cant say like that because when the villain becomes that doesnt means that he is resembling terminator. Anyway for the first twenty minutes , the first half can be said good otherwise its a total     waste of time

In the second half, villain is searching for Surya and Shruthi for killing them.At the same time Surya came to know something which is a great secret and forget to told first half is also filled with totally waste songs which will hit anytime you doesnt need that.. After knowing the secret surya and shruthi hassan is trying to make a DNA activation and thus by remaking Bhodiharma again. In the way of doing the same they are facing lot of troubles from the villain. In the second half there is a stunt sequence, which was written by newspapers that the unit shooted with hollywood technicians and with so and so big shots. But when I watched it on screen I was laughing like anything....an utter crap...and that scene alone will made me feel that when I can leave the theatre....such much waste....It showed how one scene of a movie can make the entire movie to the heights of the boredom and that scene raised by eyebrows on another subject......Villain can induce the nokkumarmam if he looks into someone's  eyes but how  the hell he can turn everyone looking at the him and then induce nokkumarmam .........Extremely waste.....Then the experimentation happens and finally Surya takes over the villain but where is the disease spreaded it ended up no where...the punch of the movie should have been made to that......Anyway a time waste except the first twenty minutes. My Rating is 4/10

And to Mr Murugadoss, I dont know whether my blog will come across to you but still I m saying.....I would seriously applaud you to taking a such a good theme for a movie..but...Sir,When handling serious themes like this.....you need to be extra careful....You can watch how Hariharan Sir has handled Pazashiraja,Vadakan Veera Ghadha .....how Puri Jagannadh handled Maghadheera........How Redcliff,....is made....When a movie slips out the directors hand that simply means audience is going to have a terrible time at the theatres......the stunt sequence is still keeping me laughing

And For Shruthi hassan......make your Kamal genes activated otherwise please stop acting....its horrible....

For Surya..........Always gives the best shot of you....this time also the only thing which makes the movie atleast watchable is you....All the best

Tamil Movie 'Velayudham' Review

I m starting my blog in this Diwali....Lot of times I thought about starting the same to express my view point on the movies I have watched.I tried to keep an eye on every detail of movie so that I can provide an in and out review of the movies. This Diwali of 2011 is ready with the feast of 7am Arivu,Velayudham and Ra One. All  movies having expectations hitting sky high. Among them Vijay's 'Velayudham' was the movie having least expectations. So I decided to watch out that this Diwali as my first movie. Started at 6 am for watching the movie at AGS Multiplex in Chennai and the review follows

Velayudham-Vijay hits the lotto this Diwali

This movie made by M Raja who is famous for his remakes from other languages and for Vijay this one needs to to be hit as to ensure that mass masala formula from him is still accepted by the audience. Anyway the good competition with surya also is there on the otherside. Lets go to the review part

Movie start off nicely without any jerks. Then Genelia' character ,who is a freelancer enters into the scene and a twist happens over there and then comes the most awaited moment..... Vijay's intro scene...... which I should say was little nasty but when you enter into the cinema hall to watch a Vijay movie, you are supposed to experience these things...but this time intro doesnt comes with songs or stunts...:)..Then enters Saranya, who is the sister character of Vijay and then Hansika Motwani who is the kiss locker for Vijay. Then movie pitches into a well passion with very good comedy and little villian sequences. Santhanam takes comedy part very well which is also supported by the good comedy timing from Vijay.First half of the movie goes well with comedy sequences which will make the audience sit and watch without any look on to their watches.Mentioning about the songs, all the songs are well placed that means a song will come only when you needs one. The picturisation is also well done but I wont exceptional...Talking about the action sequences,as in every Vijay movie stunt scenes are done very well but still can be improved in some scenes.Second half takes off in an aggressive mood which the director successfully maintained till the end of the movie. In the second half comes the most amazing sequence in the movie...the train stunt sequence.....It was brilliantly done by Vijay and as well as all technicians worked in that......Please dont compare with the stunts you have seen in unstoppable or anyother english movie....This one is pretty good as far a tamil movie is considered....We will feel the movie is going to end over there but still we expect for something more.....Eventhough the climax is what we know, the way it is delivered is superb....you will sit and watch till the end...the script is good to make you feel that this movie is going to be a hit while leaving the theatre after watching this movie..Somebody would say the costume has been copied from Assasin Creed or some other game...I dont know much about  games as I m not into it but story has a justification for doing that.....Watch it and find out....

Finally this movie along with the crackers you can watch and enjoy the movie......Vijay is there to entertain and to make certain that he is still the hero of  masses and with a good skin show from Hansika...this one assures that it will ring box office and make producers happy....My rating is 7/10
