Hare Krishna -- English Play Review

So this is a movie review blog and I m putting review about a play and I cant complain people thinking that 'does it make some sense' ....Yeah it makes....For that you need to watch the play.So I will be coming to that...I never missed some show like this because in 2011 when the play is played in Chennai , I was about to book the tickets and later missed it and then I came to know that was one of the very costly miss I have ever made.I kept in mind that next time anywhere if the play is been showed then I will be there but by gods grace, in this Sreekrishana Navami Shobhana decided to play it again in Chennai and without any doubt I just logged into bookmyshow and searched for tickets. I saw that Rs500 tickets are over and only 1000,2000,3000 range tickets are only available. With a bit of reluctance I booked a Rs 1000 ticket and constantly thought of it that whether it worth that much and later on the day of play I somehow managed to take a half day leave then drive to Naradha Sabha in Chennai to view the play. Here goes my review


Hare Krishna ---- Worth a billion bucks

As the name suggests, it's the story of Krishna,an epic character from Mahabharatha. When you are making a movie or a play about such a character you need to very careful as every simple scene and dialogue will be watchfully taken care by the audience and the reaction can be disastrous as well as fantastic.Here without any doubt I will say it was fantastic perhaps the most excellent and brilliant show I have ever seen in my life.Yeah I m a person who watches modern as well as old plays which are performed in Chennai. Ok again I m coming to the play. I would say this was great....simply great...When perfection became a habit for all characters and all scenes then obviously it needs to end up in a great product and that happened with Hare Krishna too...I  am not telling any storylines as almost all is aware of that. The play showcases Krishna's different perspectives , the lover,the philosopher,the teacher etc ....This makes the audience easily comes into  the play and really enjoy it ....The blend of songs like Dhoom Machale and other hindi songs also gives a special feel when we are watching it.Starting from the birth the play showcases the entire life of Krishna till he leaves earth. Here there can be a problem for people who doesn't know any track of Krishna's story earlier may find a little difficult to catch up ....but I dont know is there anyone like that.....But for them also the visual treat is magical .... entertaining and giving goosebumps across the play


So coming to acting part of the play....I dont have words to describe....Shobhana was literally rocking on the stage....great....great...great...I have felt I have seen Krishna in real....Other characters like the girl who played the childhood of Krishna and the one who played Radha were brilliant.....Every actress is so great...and I m amused by the way they blended it with dance moves...and each move have some realtions with the story line ...I m not the person to say that because I dont have much about dance moves but from a layman view I have experienced it ....the magical visual extravaganza.......Once again Shobhana was really an eyetreat and one of fantastic performances I have ever seen either in live or silver screen.


.A play when it goes for nearly 3 hours , it can really go bad if you dont give proper care of it the script.....You need to put a greater effort in the every nook and corner and also needs to include some catchy dialogues....otherwise people will not show much interest into that....In this script was at its highest point....giving one of the most catchy dialogues I have seen in my lifetime...One dialogue which Krishna says to Radha..." I m drunk with the love to you" .....there is a hell lot of dialogues in the play which will stand back in your mind even after you leave the hall....Voices which were rendered where also superb...Surya for Arjun ,Prabhu for Bhima  especially Shabhana Azmi for Ghandari are really fantastic as the voices very well showcased the feel of the characters and situations.

On the technical side,the name itself will speak...Resool Pookutty was the sound engineer I think I dont have tell much about that then...One of the song is choreographed by Prabhu Deva.. again my reviewer in mute. Rest of the play is directed and choreographed by Shobhana herself and I have no words to explain as I have used fantastic, great, exemplary,brilliant a  lot of times across the review......Amazingly great with wonderful perfection...Light arrangement also needs a very special mention here .....It was really great such that the mood is conveyed superbly to the audiences....Nothing much to describe as I have used all of my words........

I m going to take a Rs3000/- ticket next time



My rating --100/100 ........Worth a billion bucks  and if you miss then you are missing one of the best 

Dark Knight Rises - English Movie review

So here comes the most awaited movie in this year.....yes I said it as the most awaited movie.....The teasers and trailers of the movie which have given it's fans goosebumps....the movie which got much hype and media attention because of its wonderful first part.....The first part which the audience watched for villain than the super hero.....for its wonderful screenplay and at a time it came as first best movie in the world yeah in the IMDB over taking even the supremo Godfather.....Anyway when an another part for such a kind of movie comes that too from the same crew and from the same director who casted a magic spell with his direction ventures like Dark Knight,Inception etc....And the movie got media attention  when it said "The Legend Ends" as its tag line...So lets go the movie review....perhaps this one is the first premiere movie review on my blog.....Right out of the first show in the world.... :)

Dark Knight Rises - Not a great swansong but well done

I don't know whether I can use the term swansong here because I don't really know whether the series ends here or not....may be it can go on .....Anyway lets go into the movie.....As in the first part...its the powershooted entry of the villain is the first main point of the movie.....but I would this time it was bad not as good as the Joker's entry....I felt the scenes were really dump when they introduced Bane-The villain ..but there is a dialogue from him ;;"No matter what we are ...what matters is what we do"....You should keep your logic aside....Then the movie starts off from there...slowly...a pace which can make audiences little bit bored....As usual I wont tell anything about the story line.....They should have made the first half little bit racy.....Screenplay lags here and there...sometimes like during Batman's entry and all you will be thrilled but that adrenalin is not well carried across the first half......But this lag is well corrected by some wonderful dialogues which can really make international audiences interested to the subject......I am not saying the first half is way too bad or not at all interesting but I m just saying dont expect a race rushed first half then you will be disappointed


Coming to the second half of the movie,this is really holding the movie up. They made it really superb such that audince will really be going along with the story line and that is where perfect movies take birth.Some good action sequences ...perfect stunt scenes everything was there in the second half and the last twenty minutes of the second half is really thrilling such that at the end of the movie you will stand and clap.There are really interesting twists in the movie.....Watch out the same for that.....Second really scores because the screenplay was pretty tightly packed and there no lag....Also some dialogues were really interesting...

Into the technical side of the movie,animation and VFX works were as usual ..top class.....There is a scope for a good improvement in the screenplay but still its good....its like a first ranker of the class still can score much more as he/she has the capacity for that :P .......Stunt sequences are really good especially the bike stunt using Batman's bike ( " You got a wrong Animal here sir ?").........The powerful part I felt is the dialogues ,they are really in class with the Dark Knight.....The tempo is really well maintained....

From the acting side.....Villain was a biggest let down for me......No facial expressions....but sound and cruelty he portrayed was really superb and may be that will keep the audience engaged.Bruce Wayne was usual did a great job and also the cat woman.....Nothing can be called as a brilliant performance from the acting crew as we had Heth Ledger in the Dark Knight and that is really a worry part for me in this one.......Anyway I dont think most of the audience will look into these kind of things.....

Overall it is a good movie...Stunts...powerful villain....Batman..Batwoman....Robin..and so on.....As a package it delivers what it is intended to be....and Nolan can be happy....another hit is in his kitty.....This movie may not become as great as Dark Knight has become but I am sure this will be rated as one of the nice movies made and also will set the box office ringing.......


My rating is 8/10--Watch it for the good swansong and a perfect entertainer ...AND TO KNOW  WHETHER  THE LEGEND ENDS OR NOT????????.


Note : Watch it carefully,sometimes you can get the climax twist in the first 30-45 minutes itself....I have found out the same :P :P

And I still loves " what happens when an unstoppable forces meets an immovable object " than "No matter who we are...what matters is what we do"

Naan Ee/Eega/Eecha ---Terribly Fantastic

Its almost some three months since I have written my last review.Its not because I have stopped watching movies but because my home has become so isolated such that not even mobile internet will give me short term range to post my reviews. In these span of time I have watched some really good movies like spirit,grandmaster,Man on a Ledge etc.....But except spirit none of them was not on my list of much expected movies of the year....One of movie I was eagerly awaiting was the Naan Ee....only because the director is my ever time favorite....Rajamouli sir.....He is really exceptional .....perhaps one in the range of Hollywood folks......and so I just booked the tickets for Naan Ee with a hell lot of expectations.....and here goes my review


Naan Eee----Must watch and terribly fantastic

The movie's storyline is just a bedtime story for a young child from his/her grandma or grandpa or even from the parents as most of children these days misses the old story telling grandma and grandpa.....Anyway the story line is simple...a bad boy....loves a cute girl....kills her lover....and then the lover coming back as an Ee(eecha)...thats it....storyboard over....but I m still getting goosebumps when I remember the scenes of the movie.....all salute to the director who conceived the story in an international fashion with a great support of brilliant animation....Ra One and all needs to learn from these kind of movies.....Animation truly in an international level....Not even a single second of boring.....Movie just flows.....When you are showing an Ee's as movie'e central character, you need to be very careful because the story always needs to movie in a hero's view point.....Rajamouli and the script writer made a real magic here....the entire story is perceived from the eyes for the fly....even the camera work is done in such a way.....I dont have words to describe.....

In the acting side, Sudeep as the villain did a superb job....He needs to act many scenes as a fly was there in the scene eventhough in reality it will not be there...he did s tremendous job....Nanni have nothing much to do ,did his scenes well...Samanatha on the other hand also a did a good job....she had some presence throughout the story line along with the Ee...Kudos to the director there because he just didnt sidelined the female character.....Santhanam also did some nice one lines which was really interesting in the movie's end.....The climax dance from fly was really good .....All over it was the result of a brilliant team work....Hats off to all of them

Technically, the movie is just exceptional and a masterpiece in Indian cinema.....Editing and Animation at its best...When lot of things combines and all of them are it's best then it gives birth to a great product...and that happened in the case of Naan Ee....Camera work also deserves mention as the angles are really good and made in the way of the fly's view....Background score is also really good which makes audience go off their seats and clap for the fly.....Music is just ok with only one song.....Eeeedaa Eeeedaa song was really foot tapping.......Thats it from technical side

Avengers--English Movie Review

So after a long time,again I decided to go on with my blogging. The gap was not because I didn't watched any movies in the time gap but really got stuck up with my work schedule.In between I watched Safehouse,Hatestory and lastly 'The Avengers and the as we all know the last one was most expected that too in this year of 2012 along with Dark Knight Rises....Again I need to find time to watch this movie...So while sitting in the office I just browsed through the bookmyshow site and saw the movie at AGS, which is nearby multiplex for me and the showtime at night 10 30....then decided and directly shooted up to AGS....and here goes my review


Avengers--Goose bumping National Meet of superheroes.....

There is no wonder that a movie becomes so expected one when all the most expected super humans comes and joins hands in that and the same happened here.We have seen the same many times before say in Fantastic Four, League of Extraordinary man but I would say this one is way above all those movies made till now( I mean movies which has multiple super heroes).....The movie simply above all the expectations...There is huge plus as well as a huge minus point in the screenplay of the movie.....The plus is that all the heroes have equal screen space and also the editing part of the movie is done very well so that the viewers will feel that equality which is there in the screenplay....Overall credit of this goes to the director and the individual credits goes to the persons behind screenplay n editing....The biggest minus of the same script is it has nothing in it.....It seems like all the Hollywood movies are now behind some energy cube which is the source of some abnormal thing....I m seeing it in a hell lot of movies....The screenplay might have improved on that side...but still it doesn't strike to much people rather people who watches movies looking where to criticise :P...kidding......Anyway the technical part of the movie stands really good but not awesome....We have seen the same sequences many times.....but the way the movie packaged is really good n awesome :P and that made it a huge hit....BO collections shows how strong the movie is even though it got a stiff competition.....Computer graphics work really deserved to be mentioned as some of the works I felt like nicely attempted and came out superbly....The top shots of Manhattan is an example of that...Camera work deserves a appreciation by that way.....So its like every part of the movie scores well and don't feel the audience bored.....and that is what actually intended from an English movie of this kind......


If you ask me which is the superhero you liked in this movie.....I would say its Iron man and also Robert Downy really scored well over all other actors as he presented the character with a charm while other actors where just super heroes....Each character was apt for the role but I felt Loki, the villain was not so powerful but his acts where.....He should have been little more powerful......that makes still  'Magneto' from X-Men  my every time favourite.....

RACHA---Telugu movie review

Yeah again this one is a first in my blog,yeah the first telugu movie review.Eventhough I m a huge fan of telugu movies,it took this much to put a review for a telugu movie in my blog.It might have 'Dookudu' of Mahesh babu obtained this position , but it went to Ram charan's ' Racha'.Anyway  as always filled with lot of expectations which Maghadheera delivered(eventhough Orange is a flop from Ram charan people still want to remember him for MD), I entered into the theater. Here goes my review


RACHA----Usual formala,might hit the lotto

So the movie was actually a decider for Ram charan, since after MD none of his movies made a mark in the boxoffice.That's why this movie is such a decider for him.For that reason only the directo or may be the producer included almost all comedy actors from tollywood and included enough skin show from Tamnnah too....but will it became fruitful.....its see into the detail

We have seen these types of sequences a hell lot of times in Tamil and Telugu movies itself but the fact which make the difference is how they present it out to the audience.Telugu movie makers are masters in this and Racha is also with no difference from that. The director made a 100 percent effort to pull this as a pakka masala entertainer and also to showcase the superhuman stuffs from Ram charan. I would say director has almost succedded in that and the perfection in the action sequences shows that. The intro scene of Ram was good and superb.The script spoiled the entire show here. The movie sometimes tried to take a turn but the low level script made it to fumble up and make it end as nothing for the audience. As usual the stunt master deserves a special mention here....High voltage stunts are nicely made.The songs department is ok but not exceptional and also the locations , nothing big in that sort. Editing can be improved and also you cant see a brilliant editing as u have seen in Magadheera or recent Dookudu....Then BGM....it is one of the most plus point of the movie....it induces a masala goosebump feeling and that will help the movie a lot .So I think I have covered the so called technical aspects of the movie which is an above average stuff but cant be termed as brilliant...

Coming to the actors/actresses part, the movie contains almost all second level artists from telugu movie industry,dont know all the names,but still it contains almost all. The villian was good and was also shown to be powerful on the screen.But the entire show was from Ram charan, for whom the script was made and tuned up. He looks cool n charm but still not near to Mahesh Babu in the cool looks......but still Ram tried his best....the script always tried to link with the megastar chiranjeevi....which is quit obvious.....But the easiness of Ram in performing action sequences were missing , we have seen he is doing the same thing superbly in MG....Anyway the 'betting Raja' character might have been improved,hope he will care for that in the next. Next comes Tamannah, as usual charming like a diamond.....beautiful...but the skin show is less...she has done her part well...but I would advise her to try something different as anushka because that would be great for her career which is very high pitch now.Ajmal also performed good nothing to much to mentioned about him as we did it for Ko.....

Anyways the movie contains all the masala stuffs which can make a superhit but the audience might get bored by the same storylines and that can make this movie end up as a dud.....but still I came to know that the first week collections of this one is terrific and in range of Dookudu....so I think a hit is on Ram charan's way

The King and The Commissioner--- Malayalam Movie Review

So this review needs a hell lot of introductions....perhaps the most among all the movies I have reviewed in my blog...It happened way back when I m studying my plus two..I just told my friend that a second part of King is coming up and it is named as "Thevaliparambil Joseph Alex" and also another second part of Narasimham is coming titled " Paramidhikaram " where Mammotty will play the master role and Mohanlal will come as Induchoodan....MY friends laughed at me saying that is the buzz I made myself but now my comment came true after a long gap of 5-6 years and still no words abour Paramadhikaram from the makers....Lets hope that will also materialise in one day...Then coming to the movie.. I have no problems in saying that I m a Mammotty fan...Yeah once I was a so hardcore fan but eventually turned up to be a movie lover....And also this is the first Mammotty movie I m reviewing right over here...in my blog...and also that one turned out to the most expected movie in the recent times....So when the movie I just booked my seats at Escape Cinemas Chennai...Truly a wonderful watching experience...So going into the movie


The King and The Commissioner - A Verbal Extravaganza



Just entered into the theater with no expectations at all because I heard a lot of mixed/negative responses about the movie even in the releasing day itself...yeah postive reviews were also there....So no expectations.....also I watched a movie with high expectations recently and it turned out to be a nightmare for me...So for this one I just wanted to hear some good dialogues...thats it...

The movie started and the introduction of the King(Mammotty) was the first one..welcomed with claps eventhough its a multiplex with high profile or family audiences...The second intro was of the Commissioner(Suresh Gopi0 and that too was welcomed with nice claps...then movie started to go on...Eventhough the movie doesnt have a strong storyline as everytime I wont go for the single slice of story line...The technical part of the movie...Coming to the major part ..Editing...the editor deserves 50 percent appreciation and other 50 percent scolding(:P)....becuase there is a hell lot of scenes which can be trimmed and that would have made the movie much more better(not means current version is bad) ....he should have used some gimmicks also(dont know whether the same needs to be done in the camera side or editing side) but still he had a done a nice job because the director has the last say on the scenes to be included...So there I would like to say movie needs a trimming atleast by 15-20 minutes and that can be easily done.Camera work as usual happens in a Shaji sytle but with some enchancements on various sides...but 90 percent the same we have seen in previous Shaji Kailas movies...The other part of these kind of movies is the BGM....I heard several people telling BGM was so superb...I too accept it was good but it should have used with little more thinking so that the punch can be delivered more perfectly many times I felt BGM was not used in the places it is needed....Then coming to the most important parts...Script and Direction...Script was as usual filled with racy dialogues...I wont know why people say there is no story line in the script ....In a Renji Paniker script I dont know who is expecting a class storyline...Except Dr Pashupathi which movie from him has a classy storyline....I my knowledge no movie was there...It would the sequences by which hero reaches and traps the villain...Still I wont say this script is in par with the orginals but still not failed to maintain the standards...he should have made it little more better but this one proves he still have the fire within him...And finally about the direction...Shaji Kailas was way good compare to his recent flicks....even then he is not at his best...and he can be good if he gets some more stronger stuff and this movie proves that...Normally I look my watch while watching the movie and number of times I look my watch counts how much boring is the movie...For this one I looked only 2 times...One at the interval and other while the movie entered into the climax and this makes me feel that eventhough the movie lasted for 3hrs 10 minutes it was taken in a racy way which will keep you watch ...Again dont expect a pakka out n out new substance in this one..you can see traces from the yester year hits like King,Commissioner and Ekalavyan.


OK...So the major part acting.....I heard my friends saying Mammotty cant do this again and he is already weak...Ohh dear friends...go n watch..look at easynes he is delivering his stuff....Every fan of Mammotty can be proud of that...At this age he maintain his class and standard....Dialogue delivery is supreme.....I m not saying he is having an exceptional performance in this one but he still remains the same King as we have seen him 17 years back....But the only sad part I felt about him in this movie was the dialogues were not so punchy as in the older ones...He has delivered watever is given to him...bt dialogues should have been made little more powerful and memorable...Renji if u are making a movie on Mammotty again...please aware of this face...Then the Commissioner...Suresh Gopi as usual terriffc....Phaa Pulee still strikes...He did his role very well and the dialogues were also powerful and punchy...still no dialogue which will keep in yur memory...Wonderful performance from  both the stars and also they share equal screenspace....Rest of the actors I dont felt anyone to be mentioned except the Assistant Biju pappan...he did his part well....Saikumar's role was a terrible failure ....Never ever near Narendra Prasad...Rest all of roles were ok and nothing special to mention....The movie is full n full Mammotty and Suresh Gopi and that will make you watch this one ....Scenes of Samvrtha and Janadharnan needs to be trimmed which can increase the pace of the movie...Hoping that will happen soon...


3 hours and 10 minutes is one of the bad things about this movie and that needs to be reduced and the best thing is this is the one I felt is maintaining the same standards with the orginals eventhough it is not in par with them....Scripting needs little more tight ....Hope Renji will take care of that next time...I m sure this will set the cash registers ringing as it has enough content for that...May be it wont run into the blockbuster levels that the makers have expected it will run to a sureshot hit...and due to the wide release collection will also be good as I said earlier....



My Rating : 6.5/10 ---Watch it ..You will have your money worth and have some master dialogues........


Note : Mammokkaa....People watch out for his shirts....Superbbbb and simply superbb....This is what we call executive...I have noted and started my search for them....Wonderful costumes....



One more thing I want to mention here...I have seen a hell lot of negatives promotions for this movie even before the first show got over...Yeah we can assume its the Mohanlal fans..but they are not wrong at all...because Mammotty fans have done the same stuff for Casanova some time back....simple saying works for both of them "Koduthal Kollathum Kitum" but why ...do we really need this...Poster tampering and negative promo with the help of social media....The only result that will happen is the so called superstars will die eventually....and nothing will be left over for these fans to tamper at all...And for those who say " Mohanlal and Mammotty should stop acting " I would like to ask them " Who the hell acts better than them in Indian Cinema"...Yeah I do accept there is Kamalhassan and Nasarudden Shah but leave them out and think ....Infact no actors are there in the whole Indian cinema which boasts out of the second in the world to Hollywood.....By considering this...My dear Mohanlal and Mammotty fans " Dont kill our stars ....you will not have another one to celebrate".......Let their movies come and go ...It it is good it will be a hit otherwise a flop....I understand next time a Lal movie comes...mostly Grandmaster...Mammotty fans will do the same...But please refrain from it and think....

Kahani --Hindi Movie Review

Kahani -- A Perfect watch

So this time no introductions, directly pepping into the review.The only factor which made me watch this movie was Vidya,perhaps for the first time in Bollywood I m seeing some heroism in a heroine....:) ...So just decided to watch this out

The movie starts with some terror attack and then Vidya Bagtchi coming out of the Airport  and then it  like a stiched shirt from a branded company ....yeah every scene is perfectly matched up...Infact the life in the characters are very good. You can watch this at the very starting itself, in the taxi driver who picks Vidya from the airport and from there every small character has a life which will keep the audience very much interested in the movie.....Apart from Vidya I liked the little boy called Vishnu....wonderful feeling when I watched him on the screen eventhough the screenspace is very much less...I prays that he will become a superstar one day...And another thing I felt is , the locations , they even add more charm to the story line,this happens only in a very less number of movies, and in Kahani it happened in a very perfect way...Kudos goes to the camera man and the editor...Coming again to the movie in detail....I dont think Vidya have made an exemplary performance as in Ishqiya or DP....she is good, very well acted but not extraordinary ....The plot is actually very well made and the script is so strong that the actors and actresses in the movie is strongly binded together which will automatically takes a wonderful acting performance from them....I think most of the guys are theater artists....and that can been seen in the easyness of their acting....The Professional Killer guy was seriously superb...I felt in love with the character....The outlook, the way he behaves everything was so fresh....Again salute goes to director and the script writer....In this way if you take each part of this movie, you can see a wonderful work which can be associated with a nice crew behind the movie.....So shots of the movie is so good such a way that it you will feel love with Kolkata.....

So all over, this is one of the movies which made me feel my money is worth and also made me think that bollywood is going way high than the usual choco love stories...Big thanks to Vidya for selecting these kind of roles and delivering it perfectly and also to the entire team behind this movie......All the best for that Vishnu too.....

The Good The Bad The Weird - Korean Movie Review

So after creating much voices and trembles across various forums with the review of Ee Adutha Kalath...now I m back...this time its a foreign film, I think my first in this blog eventhough I am an avid fan of foreign movies...ok..So the movie doesnt come up naturally ..it was very much intentional ...One day during our movie discussion my friend Bavan bhai suggested me this movie because we were talking about the historic Good Bad and Ugly...I think every Eastwood must have watched that movie and for those who doesnt watched that movie , I am damn sure you must have heard the BGM of the movie which is one of the best BGM's ever created in the movie history.....So I just checked internet and other sites which has given this Good Bad and Weird terrific  ratings ...So no rethoughts directly downloaded and then kept in my lap for a long time and finally watched two days back.Here goes my review

The Good The Bad The Weird  --- Experience a Terrific Movie watching

Normally Korean movies are too much famous for its romantic outlooks and the way it picturises the romanticism in the movies....I think even English movies doesnt each anywhere near it except some exceptions.The action movies I remember from Korean cinema is Brotherhood of War and Siri where the first one simply in my ever time favorite lists. But this one really made me amazed ....What an action sequences yaar....perfect and that too with too much perfection that you wont see much loop holes except in the climax where you can think the usual question " Why the main leads are always escaping ?" :) Perhaps the movie needs it not only this but every movie....So going detail into the review

The movie is all about a chase. Chase for the treasure and there is a train robbing sequence in the starting ....I have seen such a train sequence evertime in my life....Realistic action with much perfection...For the entire movie you can find such type of actions....The Camera man needs special mention as you can see the angles just add more timings and terrificness to the action scenes and there comes the other important part ..Editing....Boy !!! this is again brilliant leaving no chances for the audience to re think...Nam Na Young did a very wonderful job here....I know most of you doesnt know this guy....even I doesnt know him.... :) .....So then the part which needs to appreciated is the BGM which is superb still I didnt found it so catchy as the Eastwood one.....Ok I mentioned almost all technical and crew aspects....One Guy needs a great applause for making this movie...that is the Director....Even Hollywood will watch n think about the perfect scenes  of this movie....Simply great....and one more this is the most budgeted movie from Koren cinema till 2009.....

And coming to the Actors.....In the original I felt Eastwood was so dominating with his power packed performance but in this one everyone is awesome....actors are actually competing themselves for brilliant scenes....Great movies are always like that....Nothing will be left out....Sadly or Fortunately there were no actresses so nothing to deviate your thoughts :P .......Full paced with action which will will make you in the edge of the seats....Every scene is so perfect such that you cant say which is the best scene even climax is like that......There is no negatives in the movie as per my point of view expect that the script comes from a Hollywood movie bt the result was a movie which is in par or I would say above the original....A Must watch for all movie lovers and all action freaks....

Ee Adutha Kalathu - Malayalam Movie Review

So for a Malayalam movie after a long time perhaps its after Casanova.....When I landed to Trivandrum, I have decided to go to a movie.....That was Nidra and I decided to watch Ee adutha Kalathu when it comes to Chennai....but unfortunately Nidra was playing only one show and that too as 11 30 show which is too difficult to me...So I decided to go for Ee Adutha Kalath along with my family. I took this one over Shikari because I heard reviews like excellent, wonderful etc.....So I just decided to watch out this one...Here goes my review

Ee Adutha Kalath - A miserable waste 

The very first thing that came upto my mind when I saw the title was ' a refreshing header'.The titling was good but not best....but I didnt realized that a dreadful 2 hours was awaiting me ....Jagathy's backdrop voice was good and it evoked some good sense but from the very first scene movie was going out of control of the director and the director has failed terribly in maintaining a story line with a good flow...I have some questions to the director...I will have at the end of my review....Then coming back to the movie again...I didnt saw any technical perfection at any point of the movie...either its camera , editing, songs or any stuff....All was just ordinary...And I dont know who was handling the camera but seriously boss you are tooo bad for a movie ...or I think your never know the job.....Sometimes the camera angles reflected some B grade porn movies which is not at all accepted at any cost for a kind of movie which families would intend to go and watch....Understand the logic Mr Cameraman....Try to handle the lens well dont try to over capture the actress beauty and that would lead you to big troubles.....See some movies at least some old malayalam movies and then do the job....Then I have nothing special about the crew...Only an average job guys.....Better luck next time

Then coming to the actors and actress parts....The only positives you can watch out in this movie are Jagathy and Indrajith ,rest all others are just waste....I saw Murali Gopi intending too much to re create the eccentric sadistic husband we have seen in Bharath Gopi in the 80s but Mr Son, you are no where near your father....Atleast try to learn from that great actor by watching his movies and his ease of acting.....Jagathy was wonderful...Eventhough the scenes were less for thim, he again proved he is the master of this.....Indrajith was good but the traits were similar to City of God....But I can see a good potential actor in him....And there ends the positives from this movie in this area....Nishan, the new actor along with others failed miserably .....Yeah forgot to mention Anoop Menon....Sir dont do these kind of the roles it will destroy your career....I m a nice fan of you....but these kind of roles and your presence in these movies will make me along with the normal people of Kerala think your movies are multiplex movies with overdose of sex and extramarital affair ....Do you want to create such a image...Dont sink your careeer......The new actresses is good only in looks and nothing much other than that..but we should appreciate the effort she has put and that is visible in the screen....thats it.....

Ok Coming to final point from me about the movie....too dragging...a simple story extended to 2 hours without anything much in it...Felt I should have better slept at home...Anyway Mr Director..I would like to ask one question ....What you think sex is for and of.?.....Cocktail was ok... even though some dialogues where intending the sex too much...but in this you crossed all the limits.....What the hell you think about Malayali's attitude towards life,marriage and sex....Watching porn movies or scandals scenes doesn't means we are perverts  if so the entire world is full of perverts....if you dont know how to handle sex or intimate scenes in a movie...go n watch how Bharathan , Padmarajan did that....Seriously my dear friends many parts of this movie implies too much sex and abuse words in it such a way that you will find in a terribly wrong place if you are with your family.....We the audience need to think once more whether we need these kind of multiplex bullshits....Whether we need these kind of crap movies which try to think ' All these are happening the the society so it came up in the movie?'..... even though nothing big is happening here than the other parts of the world.....The worst thing I found in this movie is that the director is showing sex as a vulgar thing.....Does it so.....Imagine how wonderfully our yesteryear actors and directors picturised it on screen....Think again and go for these kind of movies.....Seriously I m not getting much words to continue...Total waste.....

Aravan - Tamil Movie Review

So its a long time since I have written my last review.But no worries as I know I dont know so much fans for this blog who is literally waiting for my review to be out :P ....Hope the same will happen one day...Anyway I watched a lot of movies in between but my busy schedule got a lock on my reviews...The movies I have watched in between where Dhoni 2012,Kathalil Sozapuvath Eppadi and Aravan... I decided to come up with Aravan review and may be KSE review may follow this...not sure...So about the movie...it was a not a must watch movie which I m waiting for a long time to get on screen....but I have a hope in my mind that this movie will make some mark in the recent watched movies.So when it came out I just decided to give a watch and here goes the review

Aravan - A Brilliant Attempt

As usual dont expect any story lines from my review.The movie has wonderful crafting which you can see has extracted its roots from Apocalypto. As a director Vasanthabalan has achieved a wonderful feat from this movie than later movies like Angaditheru and Veyil. Earlier he was calculated a director with potential of getting audiences into the theater irrespective of the start cast but now by Aravan he proved he is Director who has a hell lot of capabilities.Another thing which needs to mention is Editing and Cinematography .....Super stuff just keeping the pace of the movie within it without any leakage.A let down I felt is camera...many shots which can be made exquisite were wasted and also I didn't find any exceptional work from camera even when the story plot offers that.Camera work should have improved a little more...The on the music part, I felt its just ok...Songs not boring watchable  and hearable too. In the various part of the movie, I saw the director is going for a round circular shots which he tried to symbolize the earth and also the sons of earth policy..dont know how much and how far the audience got hold of that...Last to say about the technical part of the movie.....Some graphics were so pathetic such that it might have been avoided.Terribly went wrong...Hope Vasanthbalan will not attempt these kind of graphics work anymore....So thats it about the technical side of the movie....All over I would say a good movie with a nice work of various stuffs...

Coming to the actors and actresses part.....Pasupathy was mindblowing.....Simply fantastic ....It has been a long time since I have watched him on silver screen and now he is back with a blow....great acting which is amazingly fine tuned.....Aravan made me once again a strong fan of Pasupathy.....No words to say his performance...Then comes Aathi....Nice acting....Need some more tuning but no worries....he did it very well from his other movies and this guy seems to have a wonderful career ahead and that too with these type of characters at the starting stage of acting.....He worked a hard for this character and that we can see in his acting....Kudos to him....Apart from that there is no other actor who deserve to mentioned.Among the actresses part Archana Kavi and the other girl did a good job but I wont say that was exceptional....May be the script didn't offered some stuff for them or they didnt used the stuff which was there....Anyway u wont get feel bored or something like that......

Finally about the climax of the movie.....Superb....I didn't expected that seriously........ may be other audience should have expected but I never expected it.....Wonderful climax....

My rating is 7/10..Watch it ..You dont loss ur money

Agneepath - Hindi Movie Review

So after finishing Casanova I ran into to Athulya theater at Tvm to watch Agneepath . The main things which made me to watch this movie on its very second day is firsly ' Sanjay Dutt' and secondly ' Chikini Chameli' . The things which made me against this movie was this is the one which grabbed the award from Thilkan for Perumthachan  and went to Amitabh....So I was seriously thinking what the big thing Amitabh has done in the original which made Thilkan outnumbered ....Anyway I decided to watch it.....Here goes my review

Agneepath - Wonderfully crafted

After watching a simple story which made complicated in the screen....I saw a simple story which is wonderfully crafted in the screen....Yeah Agneepath is rocking in all senses....Whether its Sanju Baba....whether its Hrithik....Whether its Chikini Chameli....the movie is full of positives which will make you watch this one and say 'Muttu padam Aliyaaa'( In Tamil...Machi sama padam daa and Hindi Mazaa movie heah yaar)....So lets come to the movie again....movie is on a flow always from start to end eventhough I can say some 15 minutes from here and there can be trimmed. Each character is performing their role very well.....Among all of them I will give a thousand claps to Sanjay Dutt..... He literally was rocking in the looks.....Amazing yaar....This villain will stand in my mind for a long time for sure....He gives everyone a stomach full of fear :)...... and then Hrithik Roshan....wonderful acting...His selection of roles are very good that he himself is walking through the path Amir Khan is followed or following...Every scene he is giving the same power packed performance Amitabhji has delivered in the original and here the director has well used the 10 pack physique of Hrithik very well ....

I dont want to distinguish between the first half and the second half.... because the movie excels in both parts....Some negatives I felt was that Priyanka Chopra was wasted nothing for her do.....I dont think she is required in the movie....The movie might feel a little dragy somewhere thats what I told in the first itself some 15 minutes can be trimmed off. Thats all....Then the movie is filled with hell lot of positives....Nice song placements and good songs too ....including the KAT rocking in Chikini Chameli....the song has already became the Sheila of 2012.....Then Rishi Kapoor and other co stars also had done a very well role ....But the movie is all about Vijay Chauhan vs Kancha.....and they have done it very well....No air stunts....no sumos or traveras flying in air....Clean battle for a strong villain with a more powerful hero....Camera work also deserves a mention along with the art work....Both rocks in the movie.....All over everything is nicely placed and well crafted......

Anyway My rating is 8.5/10......Must watch

Casanova - Malayalam Movie Review

So time for Malayalam again......This time I m writing review for the most expected movie in recent times.Yeah its ''' Casanova''''.....perhaps the promoters would like to call it as'' Confident Casanova''.....I planned for two movies today Casanova and Agneepath. Casanova was the first one to watch. The factors which made to watch this movie was the very huge expectation the movie built up among the viewers and that too getting firmed again by releasing the movie in 200 theaters, the highest among any malayalam movies.The factors which made me to think twice before watching this movie is that none of Mohanlal's so called expected movie made into the hit chart after Narasimham and another thing is that I dont really like him wearing the full eye covered Cooling Glass and Suits......May be thats strictly personal.....but I like him a lot when he comes in normal man's dress.....and strictly that too is personal.....Anyway entered into Trivandrum Kairali theater after a long time for the morning show and here goes my review


Casanova --- A letdown

So coming to the movie......The movie starts usually started with the suspense around hero's character and then our Casanova enters into the scene.As usual , sorry my readers...no story or pieces of it.....The villains master power was Parkour stunts...but I just want to say to Roshan that don't ever attempt this kind of stuff anymore. What the hell he thinks,,,,People can be fooled because they dont know about Parkour.....Every scene of that stunt in the movie you can see how the guys performing it is used a rope for it....Roshan you should have hired someone who is well aware of the stuff.....The stunts your villains performs felt like a mockery . Ok lets come to the interesting part of the first half....Its none other than our Lalettan......Amazing actor......look at the ease by which he is carrying out the role....Look at the voice modulation he has given to the character....Perfect....I dont know whether any actor in India will do this role which this much perfection but on the other side everything on the movie is failing miserably even the five language speaking Jagathy seemed to be resembling the character from SAJ....But still the first half is nice and watchable only because of Mohanlal and you can add some good chicks too :P

Coming to the second half......Totally out of mind....yeah sometimes you feel to walk out of the theater and have a tea and come back because that much dragging is there in the movie....Mohanlal doesnt have even a single scoring scene in the second half even then the entire movie was on his shoulders only.....A miserable script caused this.....The scenes with Shreya needs to trimmed to a lot as it cause a ton of drag....Another positive part of the movie is a wonderful color tone which is maintained across the movie which will make you feel that the movie is technically much better than usual ones...yeah its much better tooo......Some car sequences are an example for that....But I just want to tell the script writer and Roshan one thing....Neither the Supercars ,Limousin's or the Helicopters will make audience sit n watch the movie....Dubai was an example for that kind of movie when the director thought so and the end result was a disastrous flop.....Nothing I felt will make you watch the second half..except the climax suspense......At the end you might feel that why all this stuff is needed for telling this story.....Anyway it just got happened.....Character selection went wrong any many places....Villains characters are almost waste no power at all......Jagathys character turned to be a waste as the powerful actor got wasted like anything....The main and most biggest thing of this movie is Mohanlal.....You can watch it for him....Just for him...the movie doesnt have a content at all.....I have seen the camera angles in Notebook also....long shots and the one from the right upper cross angle....Roshan time to change it......

My rating is 5/10----Watch it for the hype and for Mohanlal......Nothing other than this is there in the movie

Beautiful- Malayalam Movie Review

So after a long time this time my write is about a malayalam movie which created waves across all movie goers in Kerala.....Seeing my interest in movies, many of friends suggested me that ' Beautiful is the movie that you must watch' and in the busy schedule I missed the movie in Tamilnadu...Many times decided to go but missed out...So after long two months since the movie is released, I watched the movie ....

Beautiful- Beautifully Beautiful

What I need to say about this movie.......I really fell in love with two things one is the " Mazhaneer Thullikal....." song and next is Meghna Raj....:P........Ok lets come to the movie.....yes this is one of finest crafted movies of the decade....I would say finest in South India itself.....The movie gives the feel of the music and flows like that for the entire 1.45 hours....I dont know whether people would say 'drag' is there.....I would suggest them to watch a Kim Ki Duk movie......Big salute to Anoop Menon and V K Prakash....who are the key people behind the movie and a heartful thanks to the producer who bravely produced this one......

The pluses of the movie is a wonderful script which was very well directed. I have seen many movies of V K Prakash and felt like I watching ad films.Positive was the first movie which changed my mindset about this director and this time Beautiful makes him my list of good directors.The another mega plus of the movie is the music.....wat a music yaaarrr......Amazing....Lyrics+ tunes.....Mind blowing......especially Mazhaneer Thullikal and Moovanthiyay....I cant believe Anoop is writing lyrics for the first time....I dont know how to describe this guy.....Sakalakalavalabhavan.....:) ......Then coming to Jayasurya....superb acting....we can feel the positive spirit in his looks and facial expressions but I felt he failed in the area of voice modulation which is on the most important parts when you are playing these kind of roles...May be the character is designed to follow the usual dialogue delivery....Anyway Jayasurya is getting miles ahead of his co stars by wonderful selecting of these kind of roles...Kudoss :) ...Keep going....Then coming to Meghna Raj....Beautiful ....Lady u are soo beautiful......I just felt in love with her in that Mazhaneer thullikal song background........Keep it up and good selection of characters :)......Malayalam industry is in lack of actresses so you have a wonderful opportunity.Nice comedy too.....'Valiyee pinee Sidharthan enu vilikan patumoo'.....I laughed thousand times hearing this and 'Kozhik thooran time kanileloo'....Natural dialogues which creates best comedies..

Negatives of the movie.....mmmm.....Is there any negatives??.........I would say Tini Tom was not so apt for this role......failed at here and there....Indian Rupee placed him as an actor in my mind rather than a comedian....but this one makes me doubt about his abilities.....Rest all characters are nice....Aptly selected and nicely performed....I m a man who always look deeply into the character selection....Anyway nicely done......So almost no negatives and this one remains my best movie of 2011

My rating is 9.5/10.....This is the movie Malayalam industry was expecting for a long time.....to show the world that still that we are here ......still alive...with wonderful stories and amazing craftplays...

Nanban- Tamil Movie review

This one was an expected one eventhough its a remake. The reason was firstly its the remake of a wonderful orginal(3 Idiots) and secondly the remaking director was the best in India itself.These two things made this one more expected than a Vijay movie which is coming after a well outing of Velayudham.Anyway I was eager to watch it out eventhough I have watched 3 Idiots 2 or 3 times. So I booked the tickets at AGS Multiplex complex in Chennai for a morning 8 am show and reached there in time but unfortunately they told me show has been rescheduled to 8 45 but that was not an issue at all because there were lot of beautiful girls all around which will keep my eyes busy for another 45 minutes :) .....Then I entered into the theater after a long roaming around :P ....and the movie started

Nanban - A Remade Success

Before watching this movie I have made my mind to forget the 3 idiots and watch this one with a fresh mind.I was used to this stuff from my earlier days of movie watching.Ok...so the movie started...after some 5 minutes,the title song came up "En friendeee poleeyaru machaaa".........Harris Jayaraj scored here...nice tune in par with the song in orginal in the same situation....then movie unfolds and goes onnn,.......As usual no story lines in my review....movie as a whole stands out eventhough people might say its a scene by scene remake...every character was so aptly selected and made a wonderful acting especially I would mention Satyaraj and Chathur's character(sorry I dont know the name)....Satyaraj character showed a range of emotions while Boman Irany used to have a sense of same emoticon all over.....and the Chathur's character was well done and no comparisons in both versions.Jeeva and Srikanth has also done well but Srikanth failed to impress as Madhavan did in original....many a times his acting didnt came up with the situation but still its not bad and its good bt not the best...Jiva has done a wonderful role as usual playing the character very well....Then S J Sooryah added more life to the character than Javed in the original....Sooryah's normal face expression actually suits to the character...Then comes the big comparison VIJAY vs AMIR .....We know abt Mr Perfectionist and how easily and I would say how wonderfully Amir Khan carried out the role in original....What I felt is that Vijay also has scored very well and made an acting in par with Amir in the original but slipped out in places like in climax....Vijay was into the character and made a wonderful delivery of message the movie was intended to deliver...I m not saying vijay is a better actor than amir but in this movie he made in par with amir and he can be proud of .....and then comes ILENA vs KAREENA......Eventhough I felt Kareena has more screenspace or screenfelt Ilena was looking amazingly beautiful.....What a beauty yar...Kareena is long behind her in this and a belly dance from Ilena makes her again on top of Kareena . The only thing bad about Ilena is the dubbing part which is like a  non tamil girl...Rest all Ilena scores


About the technical aspects of the movie.....Shankar direction stands on top of Raju Hirani's I would say the wonderful picturisation of songs and some camera sequences made me to think so. Songs are visual treats....In Orginal I felt Zobbie Dobbie is so flat backgrounded but Shankar has scored all on that.The camera work also scores in Tamil and same with editing...The very big let down of the tamil version is the music except "En Friend pole" no songs will stand on ur mind but in original all songs will stand in your mind even after you leave the cinema hall.....Overall a movie in par with the original
